Art Auction - Our first big event

So here is our first blog as an organization. I heard that all of this blogging was very important, so I will squeeze the time in to let you all follow us as we grow as an organization. But hold on, because there is no sign of us slowing down!

Our first big event was our Art Auction in Scottsdale at the gallery, Art Source for Design. It went great! There was not as many people as we had expected, but we were amazed at how supportive everyone was. A good friend, volunteer, and amazing artist, Frank spent 4 hours painting in front of the crowd while Christina Reedis of flute duo, Avira, kept the atmosphere classy and sophisticated.

Next up, we are planning on working with the local shelter for foster children to offer our time and start working with these kids right away. We are also working on our online store, which will be up very soon! Thanks to the donations of so many wonderful local artists, the store is sure to be a smash and we will be able to come up with the remaining funds to get some great things going!

Thank you very much to Kyle Patton, who covered the auction and sent us all of the great photos.
